Born and raised in Southeast Alaska, Dr. Ostrom has slowly made her way South.  She instantly fell in love with the warmth and beauty of the Sonoran Desert, which is why she now calls Tucson home. 

Dr. Ostrom attended The University of Washington in Seattle for her both undergraduate, where she received degrees in both biochemistry and psychology, and for medical school.  Her Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Residency was completed at the University of Arizona in Tucson.  Dr. Ostrom returned to the pacific Northwest for to complete her fellowship training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, again at the University of Washington. 

Dr. Ostrom loves caring for patients and is an advocate for underserved populations both in the US and internationally.  She particularly enjoys participating in surgical mission trips overseas whenever possible.  Additionally, she serves as a mentor for other young women in medicine, helping them recognize their potential and navigate career choices.

Dr. Ostrom also enjoys the outdoors, whether it be hiking, enjoying a swimming pool or working in the garden.  She is an avid Crossfit athlete in her spare time and loves the camaraderie she finds at the gym.  Some of her other passions include spending time with family and friends, visiting the ocean.
